The GIS GeoHub Portal, a pioneering digital initiative of the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs (DoHUA), Government of Assam, was officially inaugurated on 7th September 2025 by the Hon’ble Minister, Shri Jayanta Malla Baruah.
This state-of-the-art platform reflects the Government’s commitment to enhancing transparency, accessibility, and data-driven governance. As a centralized repository of urban spatial datasets integrated with GIS-based interactive mapping technology, the portal stands as a powerful decision-support tool for planning authorities, municipal bodies, and citizens.
The GIS GeoHub facilitates seamless access to spatial data, enabling improved planning outcomes in land use development, infrastructure management, municipal service delivery, and environmental sustainability. By transforming raw spatial data into actionable insights, the portal marks a transformative step toward smart, sustainable, and evidence-based urban development in Assam.
